Jianzhong Chen, Ph.D.

 

 

 


Jianzhong Chen received his BS degree from the University of Science & Technology of China (USTC) in 1993. He then worked at Tianjin Research Institute of Chemical Industry, Ministry of Chemical Industry for three years. In 1996, he returned to USTC to study for a Master's degree. Two years later, Jianzhong transferred to the Department of Chemistry at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (UNL) and received his PhD degree there in December 2003 under the direction of Dr. David Hage. Before moving to Washington State University, he did postdoctoral research under the co-direction of Dr. David Lubman of the Department of Chemistry (moved to the Department of General Surgery in Aug, 2006) and Dr. Diane Simeone of the Department of General Surgery at the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor. Since October 2006, he has been working as a Postdoctoral Research Associate in Dr. James Bruce’s group at Washington State University. Currently, he is working on identification and quantification of modifications of cysteine 34 on human serum albumin in serum by LC/MS and LC/MS/MS with FT-ICR-MS, Triple-quadrupole-MS and other mass spectrometry instruments.
